Da Nang
This Vietnamese coastal city is located in the middle of the country, about the same distance from Hanoi and Ho Chin Minh City. The main attractions are the palm-tree lined beaches which are known for being kept in pristine condition. Life here is laid-back and involves all the unique traditions of the country and modern conveniences as well. There are a lot of great cafes to work from and the cost of living is very affordable for all areas of life. You’ll find a large expat community, plenty of nightlife, water activities, hiking opportunities and beautiful smaller towns and villages, such as Hoi An, to explore whenever you have free time.

Food that you must try: Mi quang is a typical dish. This tasty dish is made with rice noodles, and it usually contains shrimp, roast pork, and quail eggs. A bowl of this only costs about $1.50 and it will fill you up! Chao tom is another popular dish that consists of shrimp and garlic paste wrapped around sugarcane.
