Malvarosa Beach
Away from center
With its own long stretch of beach, this neighborhood sits slightly farther away from the city center than Cabanyal. Crowded with tourists during the summer, the upside is a good nightlife scene and lots of activity on the beach. During the quieter months, you'll have the boardwalk nearly to yourself with a handful of good restaurants that stay open for locals. Transportation time into the Old Town is about 40 minutes with a combination of tram and metro but the allure of the beach can be worth it for those looking for a slow-paced lifestyle.
