Making it easy to choose the neighborhood that suits your needs the most.
Sykhivskyi
Close to center Bus Tram
Lviv's largest neighborhood is also its most modern, with the best infrastructure, transport links and public spaces. The district has some fantastic neighborhoods towards the north (Novyi Lviv) with comfortable amenities and access to transport. The area feels homely and relative safe in most areas, as well as refuged from the busy tourist areas to the center of the city. From some parts of the neighborhood, transport links might be more difficult into the city but via taxi it is still a reasonable commute. Most areas of this district provide reasonable rental prices.
Halytskyi
Central Bus Tram
This is the main central district of Lviv and also its primary tourist hub. This area is favorite among short-term visitors and long-term stays also. The area is certainly the city's most historic, with castles and important monasteries. The area is filled with great boutique stores, restaurants, cafes and with a vibrant nightlife scene. The district houses also the city's main artistic and entertainment districts, with the National Opera and Ballet Theaters operating in this area. This central area will suffer from the highest prices in the city as well as tourism-related crime and noise pollution.
Frankivskyi
Close to center Bus Tram
This is the district closest to the center of the city and enjoys good transport links. This neighborhood is quieter and more authentic than Halytskyi, with better infrastructure and a somewhat modern feel. Some good restaurants and cafes can be found in this area. Prices will be higher than in most other neighborhoods, but the area's authenticity and comfort makes it a favorite among those looking to stay longer Lviv and truly experience the city. Neighborhoods such as Altay Lakes are recommended in this area.
Shevchenkivskyi

Towards the south of this neighborhoods there is easy access to the center of the city, and rents here will be much more affordable. Most housing will be in soviet-era blocks and the infrastructure will be quiet poor, but do expect a more authentic experience while living here. The area is known for good local eateries that offer specials at affordable prices, as well as some good green spaces. The area is recommended for seasoned travelers on a budget.
Lychakivskyi
Close to center Bus Tram
This district might feel far for most looking to experience the main sights of Lviv, but the area is still closer to the older parts of the center of the city. This district enjoys some historic building and sights in the same way as most of the center of this city, but the area is less equipped for visitors. The district has lots of green spaces, providing a good refuge for those looking to escape the bustling city center, but poor infrastructure is indeed something to note about this area. Rents here will be more affordable and neighborhoods such as Pohuljanka to the northeast are renowned for its access to nature and beautiful homes.
